Over the years, St. Paul’s University has set itself apart in the global higher education arena through provision of quality education exemplified by the holistic approach in teaching. The university has been proactive in complementing knowledge acquired in the classroom with industry exposure through networking forums

with experts in various disciplines, sponsoring research, innovations and competitions, conferencing, students and staff exchange programmes, foreign academic trips and promoting various extracurricular activities.

In tandem with this culture, the Department of Computer Science in partnership with Spin Mobile Limited hosted the coveted Campus Tech Buzz competitions on Thursday 5th June 2025 at the students’ Amphitheatre in Limuru Campus. The event accorded students an opportunity to present their innovation projects designed to address societal challenges through application of technology. The students impressed the audience with their witty application of various technologies to address societal challenges: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, Virtualization just to menntion a few. The audience was greatly inspired by the innovations and we are certain it ignited the innovativeness in the young minds.

The day would not come to a close without the winners receiving rewards for their outstanding work. They took home several goodies courtesy of Spin Mobile Limited and SPU. We are grateful to Spin Mobile Limited for providing a platform for students to take part in this noble cause! It will certainly go a long way in shaping the future of Tech in the country and beyond.
