Since time immemorial, change often occasions progress especially with appropriate application of the transformation agents. A wise man once stated, “Progress is impossible without change”. Dr. Kiula’s appointment is not merely in tandem with the university succession plan; rather a timely move that would

accelerate realization of digitization of the institution’s processes as envisioned in the 2025-2030 strategic plan, owing to his rich experience in Digital transformation spanning three decades.

The DVC F&A brings on board a wealth of experience in digitization, innovation and project management. He has successfully executed digital transformation, information security measures and innovations in reputable government owned higher education institutions and health facilities. Further, he is experienced in research. He serves in the University Council for one of the leading institutions in this country in the capacities of member of the Academic, Research and Student Affairs, and Audit and Risk Committees. His passion for career progression and excellence led him to secure membership with the Kenya National Quality Institute, Kenya Institute of Management and Internet Society of Kenya.

Dr. Kiula is an astute scholar, he holds a Doctorate in Leadership and Governance, Master of Science in ICT Policy and Regulation and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. We look forward to a fruitful digital transformation pursuit with him on board. ‘Karibu' St. Paul’s 'Daktari.’
