St. Paul’s University has announced open invitations for sealed tenders and supplier prequalification across goods, services, works, and consultancy services.
Open Tenders (2026–2027)
Eligible, qualified, and competent firms are invited to submit bids for the following open requests:
- Tender No. SPU/RFP/S/002/WSS/2026-2027: Provision of Consultancy Services for Structural Engineering Design, Water Infrastructure, Roof Rehabilitation, and Building Restoration.

Bidders can download tender documents free of charge at spu.ac.ke/tenders. Alternatively, documents may be obtained by paying a non-refundable fee of KES 3,000.00 via National Bank of Kenya (Account No: 01021091200100) or MPESA Paybill (Paybill: 632333, Account: TENDER). Completed tender documents, along with proof of payment, must be attached to the submission as outlined in the tender documents.
Introduction to Supplier Prequalification (2026–2029)
St. Paul’s University invites qualified and eligible vendors, contractors, and service providers to participate in our supplier prequalification process for the 2026–2029 period. Designed to foster transparency, competitive sourcing, and strong strategic partnerships, this process enables the University to update its database of registered suppliers across various goods, services, and works categories. Interested firms are encouraged to submit their details through our digital portal to be considered for current and upcoming procurement opportunities.
Prequalification Categories
The University invites applications across four primary categories:
- Category A: Supply and Delivery of Goods: General Stationery, ICT Hardware & Power Backup, Academic Books & Library Materials, Smart Classroom/Audio-Visual Equipment, Scientific Laboratory Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, Agricultural Inputs, Uniforms & PPE, Engineering Hardware, Foodstuffs, Petroleum Products, Office Furniture, Examination Materials, Hostel Supplies, and Branded Gifts.
- Category B: Provision of Services: Software Development/ERP/LMS, Telecoms & Bulk SMS, Managed Print Services, Multimedia Production, Digital Marketing, Waste Management, Elevator Servicing, Security & Fire Safety, Hospitality & Catering, Transport & Air Travel, Janitorial & Landscaping, HVAC Maintenance, Insurance, GIS & Land Surveying, Medical/Counseling Services, Academic Publishing, and Event Management.
- Category C: Consultancy Services: Institutional Strategy & Governance, Legal Advisory, Financial/Tax/Audit Services, HR & Training, and Property/Valuation Consultancy.
- Category D: Provision of Works: Building Construction & Renovation, Minor Building Repairs/Handyman Works, and Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing Installation Works.
Supplier Prequalification Process
To apply, interested firms should visit www.spu.ac.ke to access the Supplier Prequalification Portal, create an account, and choose their target categories. Applicants must then complete the online registration form, upload all mandatory and category-specific documents, and submit their application directly through the portal.
Important Prequalification Information:
- Applications must be submitted exclusively through the portal; hard copy submissions will not be accepted.
- A non-refundable application fee of Ksh 3,000 is payable per application.
- Suppliers may apply for multiple categories provided they satisfy requirements for each.
- Registration in the database does not constitute a guarantee of contract award.
