St. Paul’s University (SPU) reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education and youth empowerment during an outreach visit to Kirogo Boys Senior School in Murang’a County. The day-long event blended spiritual nourishment with practical career guidance to inspire the students toward academic excellence and personal growth.
The university delegation was led by Dr. Kiula Mwirigi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Finance and Administration, who delivered an uplifting spiritual message centered on faith and perseverance. Drawing from Genesis 21:1–7 and Genesis 24:1–5, Dr. Mwirigi reminded the young men that God’s promises are unfailing and unaffected by human limitations.
"God is unlimited in His ability to fulfill His word," Dr. Mwirigi shared, urging the students to anchor their lives on the Gospel’s blueprint, practice humility, and remain patient as they trust in God’s plan for their future.
Following the spiritual session, SPU representatives conducted a comprehensive career mentorship session aimed at opening up future academic and professional pathways for the students. The facilitators guided the boys through self-discovery exercises, helping them recognize their potential, navigate university entry opportunities, and align their interests with dynamic market requirements.
School administrators and students expressed gratitude for the visit, highlighting the value of combining spiritual mentorship with actionable career insights.
The initiative aligns with St. Paul’s University’s broader outreach strategy to mentor secondary school students across Kenya, equipping the next generation with the character, faith, and skills needed to thrive in higher education and beyond.
