What is taxation? What kind of taxes/levies are imposed on commodities, income, transactions and what are their implications? What are my rights as a tax payer? Are among the many questions that remain answered in the minds of tax payers especially with constant reminders by the relevant authorities to citizens to file returns, and incessant random discussions on increase and decrease in taxes on basic commodities.
In line with one of the universities mandate of dissemination of knowledge, the School of Business and Leadership Studies found it to enlighten the SPU community on this matters taxation in a bid to ensure students and staff are on the right side of the law. This timely initiative will take place tomorrow Thursday 25th June 2026 from 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm, during a webinar themed “Tax Compliance in Digital Era: Practical Tax Return Filing, Emerging Issues, and Recent Reforms in Kenya”. The webinar will seek to enlighten participants with insight on Taxation, applicable regulations and emerging issues on the subject.
