The Diploma in Information Technology and Cyber Security prepares candidates to become technical specialists capable of managing robust IT infrastructures while defending organizational assets against evolving digital threats. It focuses on equipping students with the dual expertise needed to maintain seamless business operations and implement rigorous security protocols, meeting the high demand for skilled protectors in today’s data-driven economy.

The objective of the Diploma in Information Technology and Cyber Security is to equip students with a comprehensive blend of technical proficiency and defensive strategy. It aims to produce professionals who can design, implement, and manage secure computing environments while proactively identifying and mitigating cyber risks. By the end of the program, candidates will have the practical skills to safeguard digital infrastructure and ensure data integrity within various organizational frameworks.

Face to Face learning

The programme will be delivered through lectures, seminars, class discussions, case studies, field trips and class exercises.

Virtual / Distance and e-learning

The programme is delivered virtually through robust e-learning platforms that facilitate students’ interactions with self-instructional material such as study modules, multimedia prepared by lectures, online assessments and online interactive devices. The platforms also facilitate virtual student-lecturer interactions.

Admission into the Diploma program will be subject to the general regulations of St. Paul’s University. Specifically, those intending to seek admission for the course will be expected to meet the following criteria:

• A minimum KCSE grade C- or
• “O” Level division III with a minimum of 38 points with 5 credits, one of which must be either in English Language or Literature in English. or
• "A‟ Level with 2 principal passes. or
• D+ in KCSE with additional one-year certificate or above from a college or
• Equivalents to the above qualifications as determined by St. Paul’s University Senate.
