SPU Hosts Karima Girls' High School for a Career Talk

St. Paul's University (SPU) prides itself in hosting High School students for career talks and campus tours to accord them an opportunity of experiencing campus life find hand.

On Friday, 8th June 2023, the Corporate Affairs Department hosted one hundred and sixty (160) form three Karima Girl's High School students for a interactive career guidance session. The speakers took time to explain to the girls fundamentals of making the right career choices and nurturing them such that, each one of girls would stand out in their respective domains while creating an impact in society; and what to look out for when selecting institutions of higher learning. The importance of considering one's talent and strengths, advice from their parents and mentors, and industry trends when making the choices would not be over emphasized. After the first session, the students were taken around the main campus to have feel of the state-of-the-art facilities including classrooms, computer labs, anatomy labs, multimedia studios, TV and radio studios, students' cafeteria, Library, Chapel, gym, in-door games facility, amphitheater and hostels. The students asked a number of questions in the course of the interactions and the officers present gladly provided answers to the questions to the satisfaction of the audience. The glim on the student's faces could tell it all. The students also appreciated our hospitality citing courteous reception upon arrival & treatment befitting a king for the five hours they spent at the main campus. In the end, the girls full of energy, vision & focus promised to settle for nothing less but than St. Paul's University.
