Introducing the Masters of Theology in Ecumenical Leadership

Offered in collaboration with All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC), the Master of Theology in Ecumenical Leadership programme is based on AACC’s agenda for promoting inter-generational learning and mentorship of young Theologians to lead ecumenically.

Purpose

The purpose of the Master of Theology in Ecumenical Leadership programme is to equip students with deeper knowledge and leadership skills in national, regional and global ecumenical contexts.

The core objectives of the programme

The programme aims at:

  • Equipping students to expound forms of leadership in the contemporary ecumenical movement.
  • Involving students to discuss leadership approaches in response to emerging contextual Theologies in Africa.
  • Modelling students to practice leadership in an ecumenical context.
  • Rooting students to examine the roles of ecumenical organizational leadership for sustainable development in Africa.
  • Promoting students to apply contemporary leadership skills in ecumenical organizations and churches in Africa.

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Theology, Divinity or Religious Studies or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning;
  • Bachelor's degree in ecumenism or its equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning.

Duration

One year - internationally recognized.
