Introduction This course has been designed not only to emphasize on the academic and the market place, practical application of computer science and computational thinking, but also to take into considerations the future development of the Computer science discipline. The course offers rationalization to practicing Computer science on how to effectively enrich the current practices in their market place. Course rationale and goal The objectives of the Certificate in Certificate in computer sciences (CCS) are to: - • Prepare students for progression to Computer science courses. • Equip students with the competence and confidence to evaluate Computer science opportunities in Business and implement effective Computer science solutions. • Produce competent, confident and well-rounded Computer scientist capable of transforming the economic growth and improve life of communities around us. Admission requirements • KSCE Mean Grade of D+ with at least a D+ in Mathematics, Physics/Physical Science and in English. • Accredited Certification in Computer Science /IT/ or related field with at least a credit pass from Commission for Higher Education or accredited and validated institution. • Any other qualification approved by University Senate.
