Master of Development Studies

Introduction

This is an interdisciplinary social science Master Program focusing on problems of poverty and human development. The aim of the MDS is to offer a combination of background theoretical knowledge and concrete skills to understand asses and work in development- related fields. Students will acquire a critical social science approach which prepares them to make contributions to sustainable human development in a role such as policy makers, trainers or practitioners in government agencies, private firms and NGOs.

The program institutionalizes a dynamic and strategic vision to provide an interdisciplinary, advanced, research-based and practical education in the contemporary world of development.

Admission Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree with at least an upper Second class honors; or

A Bachelor's degree with a lower Second Class Honors and two years work experience in a related field, or

A Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on 4.0 scale (B+) or the equivalent, from an accredited University or College.

Duration

Two (2) years (4 Semesters).
