Bio

Dr. Kevin Muriithi Ndereba (PhD, University of South Africa) is Lecturer and Head of Department, Practical Theology in the School of Theology at St. Paul’s University, Kenya and postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Practical Theology and Missiology, Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He is an experienced academic and researcher in the field of theology and religion, with exemplary teaching, communication, and mentoring skills. He brings diverse experiences in the areas of church ministry, cross-cultural collaboration, higher/theological education, leadership development, non- profits, and youth engagement. Research, teaching, and mentoring/supervising interests include youth ministry, practical theology, pastoral and public theology, African contextual theologies and apologetics, and welcomes postgraduate students working on any of these themes. His research on faith, science and (non)religion has been presented to the International Research Network for Science and Belief and published by Zygon: Journal of Religion and Science, and his work on the intersection of youth development, ministry, public theology and theological education has been published by Journal of Youth and Theology, Acta Theologica, Stellenbosch Theological Journal, Ecumenical Review, Global Missiology, Journal of Education, Society and Behavioural Science and forthcoming in the International Journal of Public Theology. He is working as the general editor on a book titled Apologetics in Africa with Langham Publishers and material from his PhD work will soon be published as Youth Ministry after the Pandemic: A Practical Theology from the Global South by Wipf and Stock.
