Through the years, Virginia Seminary has had the pleasure of admitting graduates from St. Paul’s University and have seen them thrive and grow from their experiences there.
For the past 18 months or so, their international student admissions process was suspended while the program was re-evaluated and re-launched. They are happy to announce that they have now completed their evaluation of the program and are again accepting applications. Continue Reading

‘I’m busy, lets do it at 8pm in the evening…’ I meet a friend and that’s what he tells me when I request for time with him. I get an sms after some few minutes; ‘…hi, I need your help, I need your help!’ and I get concerned. Why is it that everyone around is somehow busy or has something to do…did I forget to mention the empty streets, hostels, cafeterias and conspicuously full library? Some great person once said that to succeed you need to be awake when others are asleep. I think I agree. A friend also mentioned that success favors a prepared mind, which too is true fellows; we suddenly become busy at the mention of exams and cats, I too of course! Continue Reading
Salute to Nurses first introduced readers to Macharia back in 2009, just as she was preparing to enter graduate school at St. Paul’s University in Limuru, Kenya; she graduated in October of 2012 with a master’s degree in Community Pastoral Care and HIV/AIDS.
In a 2009 email exchange with STN, Macharia expressed her deep desire to fight the AIDS epidemic in her country and her frustration at being unable to do more for her patients.
“They need somebody to support them, counsel them — and actually they have no funds to meet their treatment and the services,” Macharia said. “There are also very many questions they ask, and I have no answer for them due to lack of enough knowledge.”

St. Paul’s university will on Wednesday, 20th November host a theological consultation forum that brings together 40 heads of theological institutions from the East African region. The main agenda is to create a network for theological institutions in so that they can empower congregations for effective ministry in the region. The conference will deliberate on how to connect theological training with congregational ministry at the grassroots. Continue Reading

The gala night was held at the main Campus in Limuru. There was a special guest appearance from Machel Waikenda, Director, Blackstar Entertainment, who addressed the students on entrepreneurship and personal branding
